A.S. Attorney Ron Perry gave a report on the legal services available to the Immigrant and Undocumented students community at UCSB. According to Perry, the office addresses a need that students have been asking for on campus; their services include paying for DACA renewal fees.

Student Advocate General (S.A.G.) Grecia Martinez also gave a report on the S.A.G.’s office progress and current projects. Martinez stated that one of the office’s main goal is to make legal resources more accessible to students.

There is a resolution to address textbook affordability, written by Off-Campus Senators Carla Cernat and Christian Ornelas. The resolution supports CALPIRG in the creation of a grant that would compensate faculty for switching to open source books.

Open source textbooks are free and public available to everyone, and the switch to them would greatly lower the financial burden on students, according to the resolution's student sponsor.

There is a bill to update Article Three, Section One, Subsection B of the By-Laws, written by L&S Senators Ricardo Uribe and Xochitl Briseno. The bill gives clear definitions on a Senator’s responsibility to their constituents.
