Submit an op-ed or letter to the editor
If you wish to submit a letter to the editor, email  Topics should be in response to an opinion piece in The Bottom Line or related to the local community, and approximately 500 words. Letters to the editor are shared on our social media platforms and will not be published in print.

Letters to the editor are subject to editing for spelling and grammatical errors, but content will not be affected. If you are not a student at UCSB, please attach a 1-2 sentence biography at the bottom of your piece stating your affiliations.

Please note that not every submission may be published. All submitted work must be original and not published on any other platform.
