The Bottom Line is located in the Associated Students Annex at UCSB, also known as Building 434 on campus maps. We can be reached at 805-893-2440 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. We always welcome new members, story ideas, letters to the editor, guest editorials, advertising inquiries, and all other inquiries or comments.

Heard about something happening on campus, in Isla Vista, Santa Barbara, or California? If you know of anything that you wish to see covered by our newspaper, email content@bottomlineucsb.com with “News Tip” in the subject headline.

Submitting an op-ed or letter to the editor

If you wish to submit a letter to the editor, email opinions@bottomlineucsb.com.  Topics should be in response to an opinion piece in The Bottom Line or related to the local community, and approximately 500 words. Letters to the editor are shared on our social media platforms and will not be published in print.

Letters to the editor are subject to editing for spelling and grammatical errors, but content will not be affected. If you are not a student at UCSB, please attach a 1-2 sentence biography at the bottom of your piece stating your affiliations.

Please note that not every submission may be published. All submitted work must be original and not published on any other platform.

Correcting an article

The Bottom Line will correct articles as soon as possible and provide updated information whenever possible. To report a correction, email content@bottomlineucsb.com.
