Interested in writing, photography, illustration or investigative journalism? If you said “yes” to any of these, then come be a part of The Bottom Line. it is a great way to get involved within UCSB and the surrounding community. In addition to News, our newspaper also covers Features, Arts & Entertainment, Sciences and Technology, Opinions, and Photo Stories. Interested in videography or editing? Our video team, The Line, does a wide range of investigative journalism, news, and creative content.
Although no experience is necessary to be a part of TBL, it is welcome. We offer all staff members with one-on-one trainings, preparing you for work to come. We accommodate students’ schedules, allowing staff to take on as little or as much work as possible. Come to our spring orientation on Wednesday, April 10 or Thursday, April 11 at 6 p.m. to learn what you can do for our student-run newspaper, and what our team can do for you!
If you’d like to get involved, but can’t come out for orientation, send an email to email@example.com (firstname.lastname@example.org for The Line) or attend one of our general meetings, which take place Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in the A.S. Annex (Building 434) across from Storke Tower.
