After over a year of waiting, the UCSB community may rejoice over cups of coffee.

Starbucks in the UCen will be open as of Monday, Aug. 7, according to Francisco Celis, the assistant director for UCen Dining Services. This will be the first Starbucks on campus, and takes the place of the former Nicoletti’s Cafe.

The shop will not be taking mobile orders, according to Celis. For people who want their grab-and-go lattes, the location in Isla Vista at 888 Embarcadero del Norte lets you order ahead.

Celis also confirmed that the shop is fully staffed, although they will be looking year-round to hire student staff as needed.

The new Starbucks will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
