The Bottom Line gets to add one more adjective to its description this week: award-winning.

At the California College Media Association Awards ceremony on Saturday, TBL took home third place for Best Features Photograph for a college with more than 10,000 students. Taken by second year film and media studies major Mark Lasa, the photo features Hijinio Camacho, an elotero beloved by students and families in Isla Vista. This is TBL’s first statewide award.

The CCMA celebrates the work of colleges throughout California, dividing schools into three categories: community college, less-than-10,000 students, and more-than-10,000 students. The full list of winners can be found here.
