Afternoon coffee and cookies were a staple of my childhood. I would go to my grandma’s house and enjoy “coffee” (which at the time consisted of milk with a spoon of sugar) and whatever cookies she had. They were usually Armenian or Persian cookies. It was my favorite nod to my culture: tea and coffee time with delicious pastries from the Armenian bakery. Now, I like my coffee with actual coffee in it and have learned to make my favorite bakery cookies from scratch. Here are my favorite recipes for afternoon coffee and cookies!
