Just south of campus, in the heart of Goleta, is one of UCSB students’ favorite study spots: Old Town Coffee. The quaint cafe offers a variety of drinks such as seasonal lattes, matcha, and teas. Much of the food comes from local eateries. A favorite is the handmade empanadas from Buena Onda Empanadas, a local and organic restaurant based in Santa Barbara. However, perhaps the most appealing quality at Old Town Coffee is the sense of community. With plenty of open space outdoors, people can relax, sip on coffee, chat, study, or simply enjoy the environment.
