A male suspect alledgedly attempted to sexually assault another man on Oct. 25 in a restroom at Girvetz Hall.

The suspect allegedly “exposed himself to the victim and pushed the victim against a wall,” according to a University of California, Santa Barbara alert sent out today.

“The victim lost consciousness at that point and is not sure if he was assaulted after losing consciousness,” the alert read. No physical description of the suspect has been made available, and the victim told authorities he did not know the suspect before the incident.

The UCSB Police Department did not confirm whether either the victim or suspect is a UCSB student.

The UCSB Clery Act Coordinator received a report of the attempted assault on Nov. 1., a week after the incident. The suspect remains unidentified.

The story will be updated with more information as it is received.
