Dear Class of 2012,
Since the early 1990s, UC Santa Barbara’s graduating senior class has raised money through the University’s Annual Giving Fund in support of designated areas of need.
This outstanding tradition unites seniors in honoring the opportunities we’ve been given while at UC Santa Barbara and unites us in building a legacy that will benefit those who follow us.
The Senior Class Gift is your first opportunity to give back to UC Santa Barbara. Without private support, the education you received would have been immeasurably different. This is your chance to express your appreciation for UC Santa Barbara while continuing this important tradition of giving.
The 2012 Senior Class Gift has been earmarked for the Alumni Association Scholarship Fund (AASF), providing merit and need-based scholarships to fellow Gauchos, and the UCSB Recreational Sports Legacy Fund, establishing a fund that would serve as sustainable support for Recreational Sports programs. These two programs are essential to providing current and future Gauchos with the same resources we have received through gifts from UC Santa Barbara Alumni and Friends.
Our goal is to leave a legacy as memorable as our class by giving the biggest gift in UCSB history. We are asking all graduating seniors to make a symbolic gift of $20.12 to commemorate our graduation year. However, a gift of any size will help us reach our goal of $100,000 in pledges – a level that reflects our appreciation for the experiences and opportunities we’ve been given at UC Santa Barbara.

Go Gauchos!
