2016 A.S. Elections

Associated Students elections are officially upon us with three new campus political parties running slates alongside several independent candidates. Voting has begun on GOLD and will continue through this Thursday, April 21 at 4 p.m. The Bottom Line compiled short videos for all executive candidates in the race to inform student voters of their choices.

A.S. President

Natalie Jordan, Write-In

Victor Garcia, Peer Action Coalition

  • Class and Major: Third-year political science major
  • Involvements: Residence Halls Association, UCSB 4 Bernie
  • Platform Goals: Push for near-100 percent state voter registration, mobilize students to refocus lobbying process

Neha Nayak, Campus United

  • Class and Major: Third-year biopsychology major

  • Platform Goals: Improve UCSB’s UCSA mental health grade, push for near-100 percent state voter registration
